My name is John Benedetto and I am running for Constable in Precinct 1. I would appreciate your vote in the upcoming Precinct 1 Primary Election.

My wife, Pam, and I have lived in Rockwall since 1983. We moved to Rockwall because it had the values we desired for raising our two sons. Family values, Love of Country, Conservatism and Great Schools were important considerations for us in selecting a place to build our home and raise our sons. Those same values continue to attract people to this smallest county in Texas.
My 29 years as a small business owner in Rockwall have given me the opportunity to become invested in all aspects of business and community life. In the past 29 years, I have seen many changes. New businesses have flourished, and the population has increased dramatically. But the important unchanging things about Rockwall are the ones that initially drew me here. It is important to me that these values remain intact.
The position of Constable is a county level law enforcement officer position. All Constables within the State of Texas are fully certified peace officers. Working in law enforcement is something that I've always been interested in. I was raised in a family with a long history of law enforcement. My father was a Reserve Police Officer in Dallas, and two of my uncles served as Deputy Constables in Dallas during the '60's and '70's. "My oldest son, Jason, is a detective with the Hutchins Police Department".
I feel that I am uniquely qualified to serve as your Constable because of the following:
- Police Academy Graduate (up to date with all current laws)
- Passed Texas Peace Officer Exam
- Private citizen who resides in the community and supports all aspects of it
- Involved in all areas of this community: church, business, projects for the betterment of all groups and citizens
- People skills necessary for this type of work
- Strong work ethic
- NOT a politician
If you would like to discuss any issue or concern, I would be happy to talk with you. My sole reason for running for Constable is the desire to continue to make Rockwall a great place to live and work.
